I cosiddetti <strong>alimenti sirt<\/strong> sono caratterizzati da un elevato contenuto di polifenoli e sono ritenuti utili alla produzione di alcune proteine (sirtuine), indicate come capaci di favorire il mantenimento della massa muscolare.<\/p>\n<p>La promozione della dieta Sirt, molto dinamica in particolare con il passaparola sui social network, ha fatto impennare le vendite di alcuni alimenti, ormai entrati nelle abitudini alimentari degli italiani anche quando estranei alla tradizione mediterranea.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo il rapporto Coop 2016, per esempio, in un solo anno il fatturato nella Gdo di piante tradizionalmente consumate in Oriente \u00e8 salito in misura sorprendente. Nel caso dello zenzero e della curcuma \u00e8 cresciuto rispettivamente del 141% e del 93%.
