Per il 2014 in <strong>Europa<\/strong>\u00a0ha registrato un\u00a0ulteriore aumento, segnando un +7,6%. Le vendite al dettaglio hanno raggiunto\u00a0valore complessivo di oltre\u00a0\u20ac\u00a026 mdl, dei quali 23,9 mld spesi dai consumatori europei per acquistare alimenti bio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Secondo i dati diffusi dal\u00a0FiBL (Istituto di ricerca sul bio), i\u00a0maggiori consumi procapite nel mercato biologico in Europa\u00a0si registrano in Svizzera (221 \u20ac), dove la quota dedicata all&#8217;acquisto di\u00a0alimenti bio (7,1%) \u00e8 di poco inferiore a quella della Danimarca (7,6%) e di poco superiore che\u00a0in Austria (6,5%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Leader del mercato\u00a0biologico in\u00a0Europa sono la Germania (\u20ac 7,9 mld), la Francia (4,8 mld), il Regno Unito (2,3 mld) e l&#8217;Italia (2,10 mld). E le rilevazioni\u00a0disponibili per il 2015 mostrano che in questi grandi mercati\u00a0la tendenza \u00e8 confermata. A livello globale, il pi\u00f9 grande mercato biologico \u00e8 negli Stati Uniti, ove la spesa \u00e8 di\u00a0\u20ac\u00a027\u00a0mld, per\u00a0un consumo\u00a0medio di 85 \u20ac a persona).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Come il mercato, il bio in Europa cresce anche in termini di terre coltivate. Il suolo dedicato all&#8217;agricoltura biologica \u00e8 pari a 11,6 mln di ha in Europa e a 10,3 mln di ha nell&#8217;Unione europea.
