Le leguminose\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0fagioli,\u00a0lenticchie,\u00a0ceci,piselli, fave &#8211;\u00a0rappresentano invero una\u00a0preziosa risorsa per il territorio agricolo. Ottava in Europa,\u00a0con circa 200.000 tonnellate di prodotto, nella produzione complessiva di legumi secchi.\u00a0Ci\u00f2 \u00e8 quanto emerge dal rapporto\u00a0sui legumi e le colture proteiche &#8211; nei mercati mondiale, europeo e italiano &#8211; presentato\u00a0a Bologna, il 5.10.18,\u00a0dall\u2019istituto di ricerca\u00a0Aret\u00e9, su incarico dell\u2019Alleanza Cooperative Agroalimentari.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Nel 2017 i circa 100.000 ettari coltivati\u00a0<\/b>nel Bel Paese\u00a0(+35%) hanno prodotto 190.000 tonnellate (+37%) di legumi. Particolarmente spiccato \u00e8 l&#8217;incremento delle colture di ceci (+72%, seconde in Europa solo alla Spagna), lenticchie (+60%, quinta produzione europea) e piselli (+52%).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Il_valore_dei_legumi_in_campo\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Il valore dei legumi in campo<\/b><\/span><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>La produzione di legumi secchi in Italia<\/b>\u00a0ha subito un drastico calo, nell\u2019ultimo mezzo secolo. Dalle 640.000 tonnellate di un tempo alle 135.000 tonnellate del 2010, si \u00e8 registrata una contrazione dell&#8217;81%. A cui \u00e8 conseguito, inevitabilmente, l\u2019impoverimento dei suoli agricoli.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: #333333; font-size: medium;\"><b>Le leguminose cedono\u00a0<\/b><b>infatti\u00a0azoto<\/b>\u00a0ai suoli ove esse sono coltivate. Tale caratteristica \u00e8 valsa a definirle come colture &#8216;miglioratrici&#8217;, poich\u00e9 appunto in grado di migliorare la produttivit\u00e0 dei terreni agricoli. In rotazione con i cereali (frumento tenero e duro, orzo, farro, segale), riducono l\u2019impiego degli agrotossici. (1)<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"La_concorrenza_estera_%E2%80%98low-cost\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>La concorrenza estera \u2018<\/b><i><b>low-cost<\/b><\/i><b>\u2019<\/b><\/span><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>A dispetto della ripresa\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">delle coltivazioni autoctone, il mercato italiano dei legumi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatitalianfoodtrade.it\/legumi\/origine-dei-legumi-in-etichetta\">continua a dipendere dall&#8217;estero<\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0in misura significativa.\u00a0Nel 2016, il nostro Paese ha importato il 65% dei legumi utilizzati per il consumo diretto e ulteriori lavorazioni. Quasi il doppio rispetto alla media europea, attestata sul 33%.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Il prezzo dei legumi stranieri\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00e8 senza dubbio competitivo. La loro produzione su larga scala ha costi drasticamente inferiori, nonostante i territori siano meno vocati a tali colture. Al punto che l\u2019essiccazione, nei climi freddi\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">(Canada e Asia Centrale),\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">viene realizzata ricorrendo alla chimica<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0anzich\u00e9 alla natura.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>L\u2019assenza di notizie sull\u2019<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>origine<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0in etichetta ha a sua volta un ruolo decisivo nelle inconsapevoli scelte dei consumatori. I quali sarebbero sicuramente propensi a privilegiare l\u2019acquisto di alimenti\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>Made in Italy<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0(a maggior ragione in quanto si tratta di\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>commodities<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, proteine vegetali a buon prezzo). Ma il regolamento \u2018<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Origine Pianeta Terra<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0ha di fatto escluso &#8211; o comunque vanificato, con diciture del tutto generiche (\u2018<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>UE\/non-UE\u2019<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">) &#8211; l\u2019obbligo di indicare la provenienza dell\u2019ingrediente primario. (2)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>I consumatori ignari\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">continueranno perci\u00f2 ad acquistare in prevalenza legumi essiccati con agrotossici in Paesi lontani. Fino a quando non verranno messi nella condizione di poter eseguire scelte davvero consapevoli, grazie alla doverosa indicazione in etichetta dell\u2019origine\u00a0delle materie prime. Come i cittadini europei infatti chiedono, nell\u2019iniziativa popolare \u2018<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>Eat ORIGINal!
