L\u2019ONU\u00a0inizia a riflettere su cosa andrebbe fatto per avvicinarsi ai fatidici \u2018<i>Sustainable Development Goals<\/i>\u2019 (SDGs).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8216;<i><b>The World in 2050<\/b><\/i>&#8216;<b>, TWI2050, lo scenario<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Nel 2050 7 miliardi di individui<\/b>\u00a0(tanti quanti l\u2019intera popolazione odierna), su un totale previsto di 10 miliardi, vivranno in aree urbane. Da qui al 2030, le citt\u00e0 si espanderanno di 1,2 milioni km\u00b2, un\u2019area pari all\u2019intera superficie del Sudafrica (23\u2019 Paese al mondo, per estensione).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>La vivibilit\u00e0 del pianeta<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0\u00e8 la prima delle sfide da affrontare. I temi cruciali sono quelli di malnutrizione, (1)\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>climate change<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0e deforestazioni<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, economia circolare (2). Senza dimenticare efficienza energetica e mobilit\u00e0 sostenibile che &#8211; pur sfuggendo al nostro radar, focalizzato sulla filiera alimentare &#8211; sono altrettanto indispensabili per migliorare la qualit\u00e0 della vita quotidiana.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Il <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iiasa.ac.at\/web\/home\/research\/twi\/TWI2050_Report_web-small-071018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rapporto<\/a> \u2018<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i><b>Transformations to Achieve<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>the Sustainable Development Goals<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0&#8211; presentato all\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ONU<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>High Level Political Forum<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, il 9-18.7.18, a New York &#8211; \u00e8 stato redatto da 60 istituzioni scientifiche e politiche internazionali, accademiche e non governative. Ed \u00e8 la prima relazione pubblicata in ambito dell\u2019iniziativa ONU \u2018<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>The World in 2050<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u2019 (TWI2050).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Il progetto TWI2050<\/b>\u00a0\u00e8 un\u2019iniziativa di ricerca interdisciplinare globale, che muove dal presupposto della stretta correlazione esistente tra i 17 Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile. I\u00a0<i>Sustainable Development Goals\u00a0<\/i>(SDGs), fissati per il 2030 da tutti i Paesi aderenti alle Nazioni Unite.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u2018<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i><b>Transformations to Achieve<\/b><\/i>\u00a0<i><b>the Sustainable Development Goals<\/b><\/i>\u2019<b>,<\/b>\u00a0<b>la strategia\u00a0del cambiamento<\/b>\u00a0<b>in 6 punti<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">La strategia del cambiamento ritenuto necessario per raggiungere i SDGs si articola in 6 punti, a seguire.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>1) Sviluppo sostenibile<\/b>. \u00c8 indispensabile intervenire sulla societ\u00e0, per ottenere impatti favorevoli sull\u2019ambiente. Bisogna perci\u00f2 superare i (crescenti) divari nell\u2019accesso all\u2019istruzione (<i>education divide<\/i>) e all&#8217;assistenza sanitaria (<i>health divide<\/i>). (3) In modo da ridurre la povert\u00e0 e favorire comportamenti pi\u00f9 rispettosi dell\u2019ambiente.\u00a0\u00c9galit\u00e9!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>2) Consumo responsabile.<\/b>\u00a0La limitazione delle risorse naturali e l\u2019eccedenza di rifiuti impongono un cambio di paradigma nella gestione dei beni di consumo. Applicando un modello di economia circolare che consideri alcune basilari esigenze:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8211; ridurre la domanda,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8211; risparmiare risorse (vale a dire, aumentare l\u2019efficienza produttiva in chiave ecologica),<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8211; rispettare la gerarchia dei rifiuti (prevenzione, progettazione in vista del reimpiego, riciclo, valorizzazione energetica, smaltimento).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>3) De-carbonizzazione\u00a0<\/b>del sistema energetico. Gli esperti considerano di poter realizzare, entro il 2050, l\u2019obiettivo di energia pulita e accessibile a tutti. (4) Grazie allo sviluppo di fonti energetiche rinnovabili, reti di distribuzione, efficienza energetica.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>4) Accesso a cibi nutrienti\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">(5)\u00a0e acqua potabile per tutti, nel rispetto della biosfera e dei bacini idrici. A tal fine, bisogna sviluppare nuove fonti proteiche a basso impatto ambientale, per gli usi alimentare e zootecnico (es. alghe e microalghe, insetti<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">). Oltre a migliorare efficienza e sostenibilit\u00e0 dei sistemi alimentari gi\u00e0 in essere (v. capitolo successivo).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>5) Citt\u00e0 intelligenti<\/b>. L\u2019urbanizzazione accelerata su scala globale richiede una trasformazione degli attuali modelli di insediamento. Abbattimento dei livelli di polveri sottili nell\u2019aria, mediante de-carbonizzazione di impianti produttivi e strutture abitative, trasporto sostenibile. Infrastrutture \u2018intelligenti\u2019 e alta connettivit\u00e0 (<i>remote work<\/i>), alloggi dignitosi.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>6) Rivoluzione digitale<\/b>. Scienza, tecnologia e innovazione, va da s\u00e9, devono sostenere lo sviluppo sostenibile. Ci\u00f2 che gli esperti non scrivono, ma i governi dovrebbero seriamente considerare, \u00e8 l\u2019opportunit\u00e0 di destinare a obiettivi civili una pur minima quota delle enormi spese militari da ciascuno sostenute.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodtimes.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/TWI2050.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35450\" src=\"http:\/\/www.foodtimes.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/TWI2050.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.foodtimes.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/TWI2050.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.foodtimes.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/TWI2050-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.foodtimes.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/TWI2050-150x94.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Trasformazioni necessarie, focus sulla filiera agroalimentare<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Il primo rapporto di TWI2050<\/b>\u00a0sottolinea il significativo impatto delle filiere agroalimentari sulla biosfera. La priorit\u00e0 di ridurre la fame e la malnutrizione (anche per eccesso) che tuttora affliggono il pianeta esige di lavorare in due direzioni:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8211; garantire l\u2019accessibilit\u00e0 per tutti ad alimenti equilibrati dal punto di vista nutrizionale<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. Incentivare il consumo di cibi biologici<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, riducendo gli apporti di grassi, zuccheri e carni,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8211; aumentare la produttivit\u00e0 agricola, limitando l\u2019uso di fertilizzanti e pesticidi<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8211; combattere lo spreco alimentare<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, in ogni fase della filiera ovunque localizzata, \u2018<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>from farm to fork\u2019<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\u2018<i>\u00c8 importante, al fine di combattere gli sprechi nella catena alimentare, dallo stoccaggio, al confezionamento fino all\u2019etichettatura, adottare procedure legislative e commerciali finalizzate a promuovere \u2018zero-waste supply chains<\/i>\u2019 (FabriceDeClerck, EAT e Stockholm Resilience Centre, direttore scientifico).
