Lo spiega uno studio appena pubblicato su\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Diabetes Care<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Dieta mediterranea<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0ed\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">esercizio fisico<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0le parole chiave.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Sovrappeso e prevenzione malattie cardiovascolari,\u00a0lo studio sperimentale<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>PREDIMED-Plus<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>PREvenci\u00f3n con DIeta MEDiterr\u00e1nea<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">, \u00e8 un programma sperimentale elaborato per valutare l&#8217;efficacia a lungo termine di un intervento significativo sullo stile di vita. Con il duplice obiettivo di ridurre l\u2019indice di massa corporea (<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><i>Body Mass Index<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">), mantenere il peso-forma e prevenire i rischi di malattie cardiovascolari<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Lo studio sperimentale<\/b>\u00a0\u00e8 stato condotto su un campione randomizzato di 626 adulti sovrappeso e obesi, in et\u00e0 compresa tra 55 e 75 anni, con\u00a0sindrome metabolica. I soggetti sono stati sottoposti a un programma intensivo di dimagrimento, basato su dieta mediterranea a ridotto apporto energetico, promozione dell&#8217;attivit\u00e0 fisica e supporto comportamentale. A raffronto con un gruppo di controllo (CG).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Dieta mediterranea ed esercizio fisico<\/b>\u00a0hanno condotto a significativi miglioramenti, misurati dopo 12 mesi. I partecipanti al programma hanno perso una media di 3,2 kg, a fronte dei -0,7 kg nel gruppo di controllo, con una differenza media del 95%. Un partecipante su tre (33,7%) ha ridotto il peso in misura pari o superiore al 5%, rispetto all&#8217;11,9% dei membri del CG.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>I fattori di rischio cardiovascolare <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">&#8211; tra cui circonferenza della vita, glicemia a digiuno, trigliceridi e colesterolo \u2018cattivo\u2019 (HDL) &#8211; sono significativamente migliorati nei partecipanti IG. Con maggiore riduzione della resistenza all&#8217;insulina, HbA1c e livelli circolanti di leptina, interleuchina-18 e MCP-1. I partecipanti con\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">prediabete\u00a0e\u00a0diabete<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0hanno migliorato significativamente il controllo glicemico e la sensibilit\u00e0 all&#8217;insulina, insieme ai trigliceridi e ai livelli di colesterolo HDL.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Dieta mediterranea e prevenzione, conclusioni\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Le analisi sull\u2019andamento delle variazioni\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">nell&#8217;accumulo di grasso, il peso corporeo e una serie di indicatori di rischio cardiovascolare mostrano l\u2019efficacia dell&#8217;intervento intensivo di PREDIMED-Plus nel medio periodo. Tale approccio si \u00e8 rivelato utile, nei 12 mesi di sperimentazione, per ridurre l&#8217;adiposit\u00e0 e i fattori di rischio cardiovascolare in adulti sovrappeso e obesi con sindrome metabolica. Anche su pazienti diabetici e soggetti a rischio diabete<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>L\u2019adozione di un regime dietetico mediterraneo<\/b>\u00a0equilibrato &#8211; con apporto energetico ridotto, nonch\u00e9 associato al movimento fisico &#8211; ha consentito una riduzione del peso di almeno il cinque per cento. Con l\u2019ulteriore beneficio di regressioni cliniche sul dismetabolismo del glucosio e sui marcatori di processi infiammatori.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><b>La perdita di peso maggiore<\/b>\u00a0\u00e8 stata osservata dopo 12 mesi. Ed \u00e8 questo, secondo i ricercatori, uno degli aspetti che meritano pi\u00f9 attenzione. \u00c8 infatti opinione diffusa infatti tra gli esperti di prevenzione che le diete pi\u00f9 in voga (es. dieta iperproteica, nelle sue varie declinazioni) &#8211; basate esclusivamente sulla riduzione dei carboidrati &#8211; consentano alle persone di perdere peso velocemente, ma risultino difficili da sostenere nel tempo.
