(1)<\/p>\n<h2>Una spremuta di sostanze benefiche<\/h2>\n<p><strong>I benefici\u00a0<\/strong> associati\u00a0 al consumo di olio extravergine di oliva sono attribuiti, tra l\u2019altro, alla presenza di sostanze quali\u00a0 polifenoli, tocoferoli e carotenoidi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oggetto di copiosa letteratura<\/strong>\u00a0 scientifica, l&#8217;olio extravergine di oliva (EVOO) ha dimostrato in particolare un&#8217;azione positiva nell\u2019inibire agenti patogeni di origine alimentare, stimolare la crescita di microrganismi favorevoli alla salute e promuovere attivit\u00e0 antiossidante.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lo studio<\/strong>\u00a0 di Valencia offre un\u2019analisi sistematica delle pi\u00f9 recenti pubblicazioni scientifiche sull\u2019argomento, con esame dei meccanismi coinvolti nella promozione dei benefici per la salute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I ricercatori\u00a0<\/strong> concludono che il consumo regolare \u00a0di olio extravergine di oliva pu\u00f2 effettivamente:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; comportare alcuni effetti positivi sul\u00a0 microbiota\u00a0 intestinale,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; prevenire le malattie cardiovascolari, grazie agli alti livelli di\u00a0 preziosi componenti bioattivi tra cui\u00a0 composti fenolici\u00a0 (oleocantale, tirosolo, idrossitirosolo,\u00a0 oleuropeina\u00a0 e oleuropeina aglicone) e la presenza di utili carotenoidi altamente biodisponibili, come\u00a0 provitamina\u00a0 A,\u00a0 \u03b2-carotene\u00a0 e\u00a0 luteina,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 pu\u00f2 essere utile nella prevenzione del cancro e del diabete \u00a0di tipo 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Una\u00a0 <em>summa<\/em>\u00a0 di benefici\u00a0<\/strong> che induce i ricercatori ad affermare che &#8216;<em>il consumo di olio d&#8217;oliva, in particolare il tipo extravergine, pu\u00f2 essere raccomandato non solo per il suo profilo di acidi grassi sani (in particolare acido oleico) ma anche per i preziosi effetti positivi sulla salute umana dei suoi componenti bioattivi<\/em>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><br \/>\n(1) Mohsen Gavahian, Jos\u00e9 M.Lorenzo, Paulo E.
