L\u2019apocalisse<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>L\u2019apocalisse<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; della quale abbiamo gi\u00e0 scritto, nel 2017 &#8211; sta proseguendo. Non solo in\u00a0Indonesia, come si \u00e8 visto nel rapporto di Greenpeace\u00a0<em>Burning Down The House<\/em>. Ma anche nel Borneo, la terza isola del pianeta ripartita tra la\u00a0Malesia\u00a0(Sabah e Sarawak), il minuscolo Stato del Brunei e l\u2019Indonesia stessa (provincia di Kalimantan).<\/p>\n<p><strong>857.800 ettari di foreste<\/strong>\u00a0(un\u2019area superiore all\u2019intera regione Umbria) sono stati divorati dalle fiamme tra gennaio e novembre 2019. In soli tre mesi, tra agosto e ottobre, gli incendi hanno rilasciato 626 milioni di tonnellate di CO2, pi\u00f9 delle emissioni dell&#8217;intera Australia in un anno (dati Commissione europea). Ed \u00e8 impossibile la missione dei 9000 giovani impegnati a combattere i fuochi, poich\u00e9 essi vengono innescati nella giungla, a giornate di cammino dai corsi d\u2019acqua.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Orangutan_e_biodiversita_in_cenere\"><\/span>Orangutan e biodiversit\u00e0 in cenere<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>L&#8217;orangutan<\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 anche chiamato, in Indonesia, \u2018l\u2019uomo della foresta\u2019. \u00c8 infatti l\u2019essere pi\u00f9 vicino all\u2019uomo, con il quale condivide il 97% del DNA. La sua intelligenza \u00e8 sviluppata, ben oltre quella dei cani e gatti con cui siamo abituati a convivere. \u00c8 predisposto a socializzare ed \u00e8 tuttavia ingenuo, al punto da non comprendere le attitudini fratricide di alcuni uomini e divenirne facile vittima. A colpi di arma da fuoco, quando non al rogo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gli oranghi del Borneo<\/strong>\u00a0sono ora in pericolo di estinzione. (2) La loro comunit\u00e0 &#8211; attualmente stimata in circa 50 mila unit\u00e0 (pari al numero degli abitanti di Mantova) &#8211; \u00e8 dimezzata in meno di quattro decadi proprio a causa delle deforestazioni. La foresta pi\u00f9 antica del pianeta tuttora copre circa 240.000 km2, poco meno di un terzo dell\u2019isola. E all\u2019attuale tasso di deforestazione potrebbe scomparire in un paio di decenni, con le sue 15.000 piante, 420 tipi di uccelli e 222 mammiferi, molti dei quali unici. E poi elefanti pigmei, leopardi nebulosi, orsi del sole, cervi topo, pipistrelli volpe volanti, pangolini.\u00a0<em>Kaputt<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Asfissia\"><\/span>Asfissia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u2018<em>Era proprio come la fantascienza, <\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em>tutto era arancione. Ed era buio, alle 12 del pomeriggio, ci si sentiva come fossero le 17. La gente stava arrivando, in preda al panico<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">(dr. Kevin Sutrapura, Palangkaraya Hospital, Kalimantan)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>920.000 persone<\/strong>\u00a0sono state curate, nell\u2019estate 2019, per problemi respiratori acuti causati dagli incendi (secondo l\u2019agenzia indonesiana per i disastri). I fumi del Borneo hanno raggiunto Jakarta, capitale dell\u2019Indonesia, a un migliaio di chilometri di distanza. E i soli roghi che precedono le deforestazioni &#8211; senza considerare l\u2019impatto degli agrotossici abusati nelle piantagioni di palma da olio &#8211; espongono 264 milioni di persone a gravi rischi per la salute.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u2018<em>Abbiamo deciso\u00a0di aprire una camera per l&#8217;ossigeno, dove le persone potessero iniziare a utilizzare l&#8217;ossigeno, in modo da selezionare i pazienti da sottoporre a un altro tipo di assistenza medica avanzata<\/em>\u2019<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u00a0(dr. Kevin Sutrapura, Kalimantan).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Palma_fuorilegge_sanzioni_inefficaci_Buycott\"><\/span>Palma fuorilegge, sanzioni inefficaci. Buycott!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>L&#8217;81% delle piantagioni<\/strong>\u00a0di palma da olio in Indonesia \u00e8 fuorilegge, per invasione di aree protette e mancato rispetto degli standard nazionali di sostenibilit\u00e0. \u00c8 quanto rivela il rapporto di audit presentato il 23.8.19 dal ministro per gli affari marittimi Luhut Pandjaitan. (3) 9 sentenze di condanna, US$ 250 milioni di sanzioni amministrative, tre licenze revocate dal 2015. Ma nulla \u00e8 cambiato, i palmocrati continuano a divorar foreste.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u2018<em><strong>T<\/strong>utte le societ\u00e0\u00a0portate in tribunale hanno subito verdetti di condanna e tuttavia non pagano neppure le sanzioni al governo. I procedimenti giudiziari non sono quindi risolutivi, n\u00e9 producono alcun effetto dissuasivo.
