Evidenze basate su una meta-analisi della\u00a0letteratura scientifica, raffrontata con i dati epidemiologici,\u00a0poi pubblicata su\u00a0<em>Aging in Clinical and Experimental Resarch\u00a0<\/em>(1).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lo_studio_spagnolo\"><\/span>Lo studio spagnolo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Un\u2019ulteriore conferma<\/strong>\u00a0alla tesi italiana proviene da una ricerca\u00a0condotta presso l\u2019Ospedale Universitario di Cordoba (Spagna). Lo studio,\u00a0di imminente pubblicazione, \u00e8\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0960076020302764\">gi\u00e0 disponibile<\/a>\u00a0sulla rivista\u00a0<em>The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I ricercatori spagnoli<\/strong>\u00a0hanno selezionato 76 pazienti positivi al nuovo coronavirus, tutti sottoposti a trattamento con idrossiclorochina secondo il protocollo standard. Hanno suddiviso i malati in due gruppi. Al gruppo pi\u00f9 numeroso (50 dei 76 pazienti) hanno somministrato dosi\u00a0elevate di\u00a0calcifediolo (il metabolita idrossilato della Vitamina D).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Meno_terapia_intensiva\"><\/span>Meno terapia intensiva<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>I risultati\u00a0<\/strong>hanno dimostrato una differenza molto significativa fra i due gruppi in ordine alla comparsa di complicanze di rilievo. Solo il 2% dei\u00a0pazienti trattati con calcifediolo, infatti, \u00e8 stato poi ricoverato in terapia intensiva, a fronte del 50% dei pazienti del gruppo di controllo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lo studio\u00a0dimostra<\/strong> che la somministrazione di elevate dosi di calcifediolo pu\u00f2 ridurre in misura significativa le\u00a0complicanze pi\u00f9 gravi nei casi di positivit\u00e0 a Covid-19. Ulteriori ricerche potranno offrire ulteriore supporto alla raccomandazione di somministrare vitamina D a tutti i malati con Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Risulta urgente<\/strong>, inoltre,\u00a0organizzare idonee scorte di vitamina D, il cui ruolo \u00e8 essenziale anche nella prevenzione.
