Considerando un totale di 188 alimenti, classificati in 74 gruppi con simili caratteristiche nutrizionali o utilizzi in cucina.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Obiettivi_della_ricerca\"><\/span>Obiettivi della ricerca<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>I ricercatori italiani\u00a0<\/strong>hanno voluto:<\/p>\n<p>1) valutare le correlazioni tra il consumo di alimenti ultraprocessati, la mortalit\u00e0 prematura per tutte le cause e quella legata ad alcune cause specifiche, (2)<\/p>\n<p>2) esplorare il contributo dei vari nutrienti (es. zuccheri, grassi saturi) contenuti negli\u00a0<em>ultraprocessed foods<\/em>\u00a0al rischio di mortalit\u00e0 prematura, e<\/p>\n<p>3) verificare se alcuno dei fattori di rischio di malattie cardiovascolari possa collegare il consumo di UPF e la mortalit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gli alimenti ultraprocessati\u00a0<\/strong>sono stati identificati utilizzando la classificazione NOVA e il livello dei loro consumi \u00e8 stato misurato in rapporto percentuale (grammi\/giorno) rispetto al totale del cibo consumato.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Malattie_cardiovascolari_e_ictus\"><\/span>Malattie cardiovascolari e ictus<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>I maggiori rischi\u00a0<\/strong>di mortalit\u00e0 per malattie cardiovascolari e cardiopatia ischemica\/cerebrovascolare, oltrech\u00e9 di mortalit\u00e0 prematura per tutte le cause, sono stati riscontrati nella categoria di individui con i consumi di UPF pi\u00f9 elevati (&gt;14,6% rispetto al cibo totale).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gli zuccheri\u00a0in eccesso<\/strong> &#8211; negli alimenti ultraprocessati, tra i quali figurano anche le bevande zuccherate &#8211;\u00a0risultano spiegare il 36,3% della relazione tra il consumo di UPF e la mortalit\u00e0 ischemica\/cerebrovascolare. Altri fattori nutrizionali (es. grassi saturi) non hanno mostrato altrettanta influenza.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusioni_provvisorie\"><\/span>Conclusioni provvisorie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>L&#8217;elevato consumo<\/strong>\u00a0di cibi ultraprocessati viene associato, nello studio in esame, con una minore aderenza alla dieta mediterranea.
