La meta-analisi si \u00e8 concentrata su 10 lavori selezionati per la qualit\u00e0 dei dati, la presenza di un gruppo di controllo e la durata di almeno 2 settimane.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019analisi<\/strong>\u00a0ha condotto alla conclusione che il licopene aiuta a ridurre sensibilmente i livelli della pressione arteriosa sistolica, vale a dire la \u2018pressione massima\u2019. Con qualche distinguo.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tre_variabili_per_la_massima_efficacia\"><\/span>Tre variabili per la massima efficacia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>L\u2019effetto benefico\u00a0<\/strong>del licopene \u00e8 risultato pi\u00f9 evidente in presenza di tre fattori:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; un livello di pressione sistolica pi\u00f9 alta all\u2019inizio degli studi,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; la maggiore dose\/die di licopene,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; la pi\u00f9 lunga durata della integrazione, protratta fino a 13 settimane in alcuni degli studi selezionati.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I migliori risultati\u00a0<\/strong>sono infatti emersi negli individui con pressione arteriosa sistolica di almeno 130 mmHg (millimetri di mercurio), trattati per 8 settimane con un minimo di 15 mg\/die di licopene.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Anticamera_delle_malattie_cardiovascolari\"><\/span>Anticamera delle malattie cardiovascolari<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Il controllo\u00a0dell\u2019ipertensione<\/strong> \u00e8 cruciale per prevenire le malattie cardiovascolari, ictus\u00a0<em>in primis<\/em>, che possono avere avere esito letale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018<\/strong><em><strong>Si ritiene<\/strong>\u00a0che gli effetti benefici della supplementazione di licopene sui livelli di BP (blood pressure, ndr) siano attribuiti alle sue propriet\u00e0 antiossidanti e antinfiammatorie sulle cellule endoteliali. Questi risultati suggeriscono che il licopene pu\u00f2 essere utile come agente antipertensivo<\/em>\u2019, concludono gli autori della meta-analisi.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Un_antiossidante_deccellenza\"><\/span>Un antiossidante d\u2019eccellenza<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Questo carotenoide<\/strong>, a differenza del \u03b2-carotene, non si trasforma nell\u2019organismo in vitamina A (a dosi elevate sconsigliata ai fumatori). Esercita effetti benefici sulla salute umana proteggendo lipidi, proteine e DNA dai danni causati dall\u2019ossidazione. \u00c8 risultato utile contro la sindrome del fegato grasso in persone obese. (2) Ed \u00e8 anche noto per\u00a0ostacolare la proliferazione delle cellule tumorali, in particolare della prostata. (3)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Il licopene\u00a0<\/strong>non viene sintetizzato dall\u2019organismo, deve quindi venire introdotto con la dieta. Negli studi considerati dalla meta-analisi in esame vengono impiegati gli integratori, ma un consumo abituale di salsa di pomodoro cotta (meglio se bio) ne costituisce gi\u00e0 un\u2019ottima fonte.
