Lo studio PREDIMED-Plus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Il sistema di\u00a0informazione nutrizionale\u00a0NutriScore\u00a0pu\u00f2 aiutare a prevenire le\u00a0malattie cardiovascolari\u00a0(<em>Cardiovascular Diseases<\/em>,\u00a0CVDs) nella popolazione, con particolare riguardo agli\u00a0<em>over<\/em>-55.<\/p>\n<p>A tali conclusioni perviene uno studio di coorte condotto in Spagna, ove si associa il consumo degli alimenti con i peggiori punteggi NutriScore con l\u2019incremento di diversi fattori di rischio per le CVDs. (1)<\/p>\n<p>La\u00a0dieta mediterranea\u00a0che il sistema NutriScore privilegia, viceversa, \u00e8 la migliore garanzia per la buona salute dell\u2019apparato cardiovascolare. Con l\u2019obiettivo di ridurre l\u2019incidenza di malattie gravi e croniche &#8211; CVDs\u00a0<em>in primis<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; associate al consumo di alimenti HFSS,\u00a0<em>High in Fats, Sugar and Sodium.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Il\u00a0<\/strong><em><strong>Nutrient Profiling System\u00a0Dietary Index<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>di FSA (FSAm-NPS) \u00e8 stato cos\u00ec adottato:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>dalla super-agenzia britannica <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\/home\">Ofcom<\/a> (<em>Office of Communication<\/em>), nel 2007, per vietare la pubblicit\u00e0 di\u00a0<em>junk-food<\/em>,<\/li>\n<li>dall\u2019amministrazione sanitaria, per ulteriori misure di educazione e prevenzione da ultimo stabilite nello\u00a0<em>Health and Care Bill<\/em>. (2)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Il modello<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; aggiornato nel 2016, per considerare le raccomandazioni dello\u00a0<em>Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition<\/em>\u00a0in tema di zuccheri e fibre alimentari (3,4) &#8211; \u00e8 stato poi utilizzato in Irlanda (per le restrizioni alla pubblicit\u00e0 rivolta ai bambini), Australia e Nuova Zelanda (5,6). Ed \u00e8 alla base dell\u2019algoritmo di Nutri-Score, a sua volta sottoposto a recentissima evoluzione. (7)<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Malattie_cardiovascolari_ed_etichettatura_nutrizionale\"><\/span>2) Malattie cardiovascolari ed etichettatura nutrizionale<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>L\u2019etichettatura nutrizionale\u00a0<\/strong>di sintesi sul fronte della confezione (FOPNL,\u00a0<em>Front-of-Pack Nutrition Labelling<\/em>) &#8211; scioccamente avversata, in Italia, dagli stolidi greggi al seguito di Ferrero e Coldiretti (8) &#8211; ha lo scopo primario di aiutare chi non ha tempo n\u00e9 attenzione n\u00e9 capacit\u00e0 di intendere, in un colpo d\u2019occhio, quali prodotti inserire nel carrello della spesa per vivere meglio e pi\u00f9 a lungo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le malattie cardiovascolari<\/strong>\u00a0(CDVs) sono infatti a tutt\u2019oggi la prima causa di mortalit\u00e0 prematura e disabilit\u00e0 in Italia, in Europa e nel mondo. (9) Tali malattie sono associate al consumo di alimenti ultraprocessati e\/o ricchi di grassi (soprattutto saturi), zuccheri semplici e sodio. E l\u2019etichettatura NutriScore pu\u00f2 salvare molte vite da queste disgrazie, come la ricerca ha gi\u00e0 dimostrato. (10)<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Nutrizione_over-55_e_malattie_cardiovascolari\"><\/span>3) Nutrizione\u00a0<em>over<\/em>-55\u00a0e malattie cardiovascolari<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Lo studio<\/strong> di coorte\u00a0PREDIMED-Plus (<em>PREvenci\u00f3n con DIeta MEDiterr\u00e1nea<\/em>) &#8211; uno studio clinico randomizzato, condotto in Spagna presso 23 presidi sanitari &#8211; ha consentito di valutare gli effetti della nutrizione sui parametri di rischio delle malattie cardiovascolari (CVDs) negli\u00a0<em>over<\/em>-55.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"31_Lo_studio_PREDIMED-Plus\"><\/span>3.1) Lo studio PREDIMED-Plus<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>5.921 partecipanti<\/strong>\u00a0sono stati selezionati tra persone sovrappeso e obese (<em>Body Mass Index<\/em>, BMI, 27-40), in et\u00e0 55-75 anni, (nella fascia), con almeno tre indicatori riconducibili a una sindrome metabolica:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>circonferenza vita &gt; 102 cm (uomo), &gt; 88 cm (donna),<\/li>\n<li>trigliceridi \u2265 150 mg\/dl nel siero (ovvero trattamento farmacologico di contenimento),<\/li>\n<li>colesterolo HDL (c.d. \u2018colesterolo buono\u2019) &lt; 40 mg\/dl (uomo), &lt; 50 mg\/dl (donna). Ovvero trattamento farmacologico su colesterolo LDL,<\/li>\n<li>pressione arteriosa del sangue \u2265 130\/85 mmHg o trattamento anti-ipertensivo,<\/li>\n<li>glucosio nel plasma a digiuno \u2265 100 mg\/dl o trattamento ipoglicemico senza storia documentata di CVD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>I consumi medi<\/strong>\u00a0(frequenza e quantit\u00e0) di 143 alimenti e bevande sono stati individuati attraverso i\u00a0<em>Food Frequency Questionnaire\u00a0<\/em>(FFQ), somministrati all\u2019inizio dello studio di coorte e dopo 1 anno. \u00c8 stato cos\u00ec possibile stimare gli apporti di nutrienti e di energia complessiva, da parte dei nutrizionisti esperti che hanno seguito i partecipanti nell\u2019intero corso dello studio.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"32_I_risultati_della_ricerca\"><\/span>3.2) I risultati della ricerca<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>La qualit\u00e0<\/strong> nutrizionale\u00a0della dieta molto bassa &#8211; associata al consumo prevalente di alimenti\u00a0ultraprocessati e squilibrati &#8211; \u00e8 stata correlata al peggioramento delle condizioni di salute e al maggior rischio di malattie cardiovascolari negli <em>over<\/em>-55. Dopo un anno di osservazione, coloro\u00a0che consumavano regolarmente i prodotti che #nutriscore colloca nelle ultime categorie (D,E) hanno infatti mostrato:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>livelli inferiori di colesterolo HDL (\u2018colesterolo buono\u2019),<\/li>\n<li>incremento significativo dei livelli di glucosio nel plasma, trigliceridi, pressione diastolica,<\/li>\n<li>aumento di circonferenza vita e indice di massa corporea (BMI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Conclusioni_provvisorie\"><\/span>4) Conclusioni provvisorie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Anche gli asini<\/strong>\u00a0ormai si rendono conto che il consumo regolare di verdura, frutta, cereali integrali, legumi, pesce, carne bianca, frutta secca &#8211; tanto meglio se\u00a0bio\u00a0(11) &#8211; \u00e8 l\u2019unica vera assicurazione sulla salute, con l\u2019aiuto dell\u2019esercizio fisico regolare.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NutriScore<\/strong>\u00a0pu\u00f2 fare la differenza per i milioni di persone che ancora, in Europa, trascurano la salute nelle loro scelte alimentari. Il 59% degli adulti \u00e8 in condizioni di sovrappeso e obesit\u00e0, in una <em>escalation<\/em> che <em>WHO Europe<\/em> definisce epidemica. (12)<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Post_scriptum\"><\/span><em>Post scriptum<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Solo gli asini<\/strong>\u00a0possono respingere una soluzione che possa anche solo in parte ridurre malattie, disabilit\u00e0 e decessi prematuri. Per la sola coazione a ripetere le filastrocche e fare gli interessi di Ferrero, Nestl\u00e9 e Coca-Cola,\u00a0<em>Big Food<\/em>\u00a0(13,14,15).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018People over Profit\u2019\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>o \u2018<em>Profit over People<\/em>\u2019? Perch\u00e9 allora insistere, per i profitti sul cibo-spazzatura o per il conformismo alla voce del padrone?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Perch\u00e9<\/strong> invece\u00a0non abbandonare il gregge confindustriale Coldiretto e ragionare con la propria testa, sul bene comune, in termini concreti?
